This is some footage that I found in the basement of a friend of mine. I found it while searching through some material that he gathered from when he was working in the United States. It's a videotaped audition of a candidate called "Jerry" - as we are told by an off voice. Only his voice is heard, by which I assume that he had a microphone to record his voice and expression more accurately. His acting skills are astonishing and the line between fiction and reality is really blurry due to his strangely honest aura. He was racing against a huge number of other candidates, mostly fresh students from the Academy. The movie applied for was directed by a well known dutch artist and moviemaker. Some weeks after the audition, the acting agency called Jerry and told him that he got the role in the movie. However, Jerry didn't show up at the agency that arranged day and he didn't answer the phone for the following days. Jerry was later found dead in his apartment with poison found in his blood. The movie was then shot with a replacing main actor.
